This sickens me. This website sickens me. Not because porn addiction occurs, but because you treat it as a sin. Maybe it is; as an atheist, that means nothing to me. But it certainly isn’t morally wrong. There is absolutely nothing wrong with watching porn and the sooner you “Christians” realize that, the fewer lives you’ll ruin. It’s not that I don’t believe porn addiction is a problem; if anything interferes with your life to the point where you are not able to stop, then yes, it is an addiction and should be treated. However, the simple act of viewing porn isn’t the problem. The fact that it was PORN he was addicted to doesn’t make porn the problem. Some people are legitimately addicted to eating; does that make eating evil because one MIGHT become addicted to it? Sex isn’t wrong, the idealized sex shown in porn isn’t wrong, fantasy isn’t wrong. It’s being taught to feel GUILTY about it that’s the problem. How much more pain and shame must you inflict upon people’s lives? It absolutely sincerely sickens me.

Thank you for visiting our website. Sorry it took so long to post your reply. We didn’t want to post what you wrote without us giving a reply at the same time. Our intention is not to offend but rather to assist those who are having trouble with pornography on the internet. You are certainly entitled to your opinions as we are to ours. You make a good point when you compare porn addiction to other addictions. The fact is we as Christians believe that addictions are a form of idolatry that God condemns whether it be looking at pornography or overeating on a regular basis. God commands us that His will for us as human beings is to refrain from sexual immorality. Jesus said if you even look upon a woman with lust you have committed adultery already with her in your heart. Anyone with common sense knows that adultery is bad but Jesus takes it one step further. Not only is the act of adultery bad but the very fantasy of it is evil according to Christ. The comparison of eating and viewing pornography is comparing apples to trains. There is no similarity. Eating is necessary for our survival and God has given us food to eat to sustain our existence. Committing adultery in your heart isn’t necessary for your survival. God has given us sex as a gift we can enjoy in the holy confines of marriage therefore sex isn’t wrong in God’s eyes. The reason people may feel guilty for looking at pornography is because in God’s eyes they are guilty of violating His commandments. You as an atheist do not believe that looking at pornography isn’t wrong but we as Christians believe it is wrong not only to be addicted to pornography but to view it whatsoever. The shame and guilt you refer to isn’t inflicted by us it’s inflicted by the word of God. If people don’t believe the Bible and the obvious negative consequences of pornography on the internet that’s their choice. The simple fact is that adult entertainment such as pornography; strip clubs, escort services, and the like do not contribute to the betterment of society. It wreaks havoc on the stability of the family and our communities. Sexualy oriented businesses like those mentioned above bring a host of ills to our society whether you are a Christian or not. By viewing and giving your stamp of approval to pornographic websites you support the breakdown of the family and our society as whole. Being taught that committing adultery is wrong isn’t the problem. Committing adultery is problem. Not only that the broken families and neighborhoods is the problem. That being the case we will not stop teaching what God command us in His holy word. Now you are entitled to your opinion as we are to ours. In the end one of us will be right or we will both be wrong. I leave you with this verse of scripture from 1 Corinthians Ch. 6, “12″Everything is permissible for me”—but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me”—but I will not be mastered by anything. 13″Food for the stomach and the stomach for food”—but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”[b] 17But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
